Craig comes from Campbeltown on the West Coast of Scotland. He initially trained at the University of Stirling, where he studied Biology and Education. After graduating, he moved south to take up a Science teaching post. Through his studies and new experiences Craig became very interested in Special Educational Needs and moved from the Science department to join the SEN team. He spent a number of years as SENCo and then SEN Inclusion Manager before taking up his current position.
In 2000 Craig won the Secondary Teacher of the Year (West Midlands) in the National Teaching Awards and has been judging with the West Midlands team since 2005.
He is hoping that this site/blog will allow him to share some of his thoughts and musings on education and the world of teaching and learning, but it might also touch on other areas of his life that influence him and make him the teacher that he is.
Craig is passionate about learning, teaching and improving the experiences for all students.
